I’ve owned a few types of Livid Ohm controllers. The original Livid Ohm, the standard Ohm RGB, and the Ohm RGB Slim. I’ve replaced sliders, rotary encoders, and failing USB ports. If you’re a RGB Slim owner, it might surprise you to find that the Ohm RGB Slim has an open place on the “Brain” circuit board for an alternative USB port.

I purchased some replacement USB 2.0 Type B PCB connectors and replaced both USB ports on the brain. Then routed the Alt. USB port to the side of my Livid Ohm RGB. The both work great, and this way if one breaks during a show I can plug into the other:

I also drilled and tapped around the USB ports to work with screw in (secure) USB cables. This way there’s no chance of the cable being unplugged and it is strong enough to not destroy the port if someone yanks the cord.
