Wow it’s almost been a full year since the Together Boston music festival held their VJ competition. Here’s my article from back then after returning from what was a awesome experience. ( Together Boston 2014 )
It is with that and this that I am excited to announce that they are doing it again!!!
Since this is only one of a few VJ competitions that I know of it’s a better time than any to submit, attend, and meet other live performers.

We are proud to announce that Jon Bonk in association with Together Festival will be hosting the third annual VJ Competition!
This year the VJ Competition comes back bigger, badder, and with more amazing video! Once again we are challenging the Visual Artists of the world to compete for precious vj gear and software, as well as a moment in the limelight! Last year we blew the crowd away, this year we plan to do it with even more pixels! Stay tuned for what is in store.

Each Vj will have to submit a 6 minute video demo, short bio (300 words or less), picture, 10$ entry fee and complete the online application. Judges will decide and choose several Vjs to perform live with a guest DJ at the competition on May 14th. More details to come!
Vj submissions open up on March 29th, and close May 1st. Vjs will be contacted if they are to perform by May 3rd. Live performances will be 8 minutes in length, and judges will be looking for the following traits with each performance:

Showmanship
Tricks
Timing
Audience Interaction
Creativity
Content
Effects
